The Boston Terrier is a muscular, well set dog in a compact size. They can grow up to an average height of 15 - 17 inches (Males & Females) and their average weight ranges from 10 - 25 pounds (Males & Females).
Due to their well-developed muscle structure, these little dogs have broad chests and slightly wide apart legs. Their tails are short and can be straight or curly in appearance. The Boston Terrier’s coat has a fine texture and can be in any of the following colors, which are Black and White, Brown and White, Brindle and White or Seal.
The Boston Terriers have a very gentle nature that makes them great companions for children and the elderly. They are also highly intelligent, alert and enthusiastic in learning new things, which makes them easy to train. However, they are also born with an innate sensitivity that makes these puppies react by instinct to the tone of voice. These affectionate puppies also get along well with non-canine pets. Although they need good exercise, these pups do not require big properties and can do well in small homes.
Boston Terriers show sensitivity to extreme weather conditions, and can develop problems in breathing if exerted in such environments. They can also develop health problems in their eyes and regular vet visits are recommended. Drooling and snoring is also common in these dogs.
